Piedmont Dispute Resolution Center offers training and workshops for individuals, businesses, and certified mediators.

Basic Mediation Training

This 20-hour course provides an introduction to the principles, theory, and application of mediation as a future-oriented process for conflict resolution. Focus is on general district court civil disputes. Course and trainer are certified by the Supreme Court of Virginia’s Department of Dispute Resolution Services. 

Speakers Bureau

PDRC can provide, free of charge, speakers on any of its programs and services.

 

Continuing Mediation Education 

PDRC offers continuing mediation education classes to assist our mediators in networking with and learning from other mediators, sharpening our skills and obtainingthe necessary hours for recertification. There is no charge for active PDRC volunteers. The fee for mediators not affiliated with PDRC is $15 per class.
